September 4th to the 17th I'll be exhibiting @ The Ghetto in TOKYO!
I plan on being at the opening unless I'm kidnapped and sold into white slavery.
If you expect me to tell you how to get there you're outta luck, but you can
check out www.theghettotokyo.com for more info. Thanks to Crystal Morey of Gomineko books (your #1 source for Japanese books of art) for putting this whole thing together! Visit them @ http://www.gominekobooks.com/.
You've missed a few of my exciting appearances promoting "Mitch O'Connell Tattoos" (see way below), but there are are plenty more coming up!
- Want more?! Every morning, usually around 6am, catch me on the front stoop getting the morning paper. I'll be happy to sign autographs and pose for pictures!
Beautiful Memories...

UPDATE! The Harold Golen gallery suffered a fire and will be at a temporary location while undergoing renovations. Saturday, January 12th at 314 North West 24th Street in Miami Florida, I was there signing copies of "Mitch O'Connell Tattoos" and explaining why my art is a great investment. Check 'em out at http://haroldgolengallery.com
DVA Gallery (www.dvagallery.com) has had its annual Tiki Show. I, along with many other superstars of the Lowbrow art world have done our own takes on this cute 'lil tiki spaceship decanter. I think most of the others have sold. Do you want me to be the laughing stock of the selfsame lowbrow art world? Get out your MasterCard and call DVA today!

• I'll be in Artist's Alley at this years San Diego Comic Con. Getting a free table there is akin to winning the lottery, so I'm quite thrilled. Come on by and look at my thrilled expression! It's July 26th to the 29th at the San Diego Convention Center. My seating assignment is "DD-09", which might make sense when you get there. Go to www.comic-con.org for more news 'n updates! Also, here's my contribution to the Con's art auction to benefit disabled services and interpreters for the deaf. It's one of a series of paintings I did for Warner Bros. of their HB characters. If you're attending, why not go crazy and bid it up!

I was a guest of The Miss Exotic World Pageant in Las Vegas June 8th and 9th. The folks at Exotic World® showcase and pay tribute to classy, sassy old school burlesque dancing, and they were nice enough to have me do this year's poster!

Great time was had by all (aka free drinks) at the DVA Tattoo Show (www.dvagallery.com). I had the fun of meeting a few folks with tattoos based on my designs, including Tamara Willman (and husband Jim) who had a fantastic big "9-Lives" cat on her lower back. But the highlight was getting a request from Jeremy Scheuch to do a sharpie drawing on his arm that was instantly REALLY tattooed on him by oMs of Revolution Tattoo and Art Gallery (who was set up at the gallery opening). I was pretty iffy on Jeremy's judgement of my free-handing ability, but oMs pulled it all together and made me look good. Also enjoyed cranking out a batch of cheap 'lil 6 by 6" painting that sold out that evening. Ain't I sumptin'!

Had an equally superfine time at Rival Tattoo Art Studios in Albuerque (www.rivaltattooart.com). Thanks to Jeff Hayes for putting up a show of my art, getting a stack of books for me to sign, putting me up on his couch and keeping me fed. The whole Rival crew was equally hospitable and the turnout was overwhelming. They get the "M.O'C Thumbs Up" for THE place to get tattooed in New Mexico!
